Celie 10 month

Celie Dee is 10 months old!! She is losing that baby look and becoming quite the little girl. 

She is doing better and better with food. Although a large portion ends up on the floor... She likes sweet potatoes, peas, avocado, rice & meat, peaches, bananas, broccoli bites - most importantly anything SHE can grab. Don't try to spoon feed her more than a few bites! 

Her favorite thing to do these days? Mess around with big brother : ) Most of the time Henry just laughs at her little shenanigans but when he isn't feeling his best he gets a little dramatic and complains "MOM, Celie keeps touching me!!" 

Not so fun this month - She got her first temp and subsequent cold. She battled it like a champ and pretty much slept until she was feeling better.

I know I'm a little bias but I swear she gets cuter and cuter every day.

She did miraculously well with only touching one ornament on the Christmas tree. Gabe wanted to move the bell but I kind of liked that she was always trying to ring it. 

There is a reason one of her nicknames is Sprout : ) 

We have been getting a lot of this - Mom/Dad, I'm about to crawl and get something I don't think I should!

She is still doing her army crawl thing but she also adds in a little extra toe push to launch herself forward. That girl will be developing a solid plank soon!

Christmas 2016

We started out our Christmas fun in Wisconsin and while the Christmas tree was sparkling as always

we were missing Grandpa Steve. 

Henry worked hard to color him a picture for when he got home. 

When Henry boy wasn't outside checking on the cows or playing in the snow he was wearing himself out DANCING! I wish I had taken more video but this gives a good little snap shot of some of his moves!

 The other highlight of our visit - snowmobiling! 

I think everyone had a blast! I wish I had taken more photos!!

First round of SNOW!

It was a perfect first snowfall. We were finishing up our Christmas decorating & Celie had gone down for her morning nap. The snow was still coming down in big wet flakes and it wasn't too cold.

Getting Ready for Christmas

With Henry being a little older we had a lot more fun preparing for Christmas with him.

He loved helping put the finishing touches on the tree. 

When helping Dad get the mail one evening he discovered a toy magazine and has put in considerable time looking over all sorts of different toys. 

He got to enjoy a whole week of pajamas with his daycare friends!

We got in lots of Christmas book reading!

Plenty of - O' Christmas Tree - singing!

Celie even had her one favorite ornament that I really didn't mind her jingling : ) 

Of course, I made them suffer through one sibling Christmas tree photo shoot...

It wasn't quite as terrible as it looks!

They both did their best to follow our instructions.

In the end they did their own little thing and it turned out cuter than we could have planned!

 Although the above photo would have been perfect for our Christmas card I already had my fav photos of the year printed!

 Can't wait to see what kind of fun the next few weeks of Christmas will bring us!

9 month old Celie Dee!

Our happy little girl made it to a whopping 14.3 lbs! 

She is getting better and better at eating although it still irks me that she won't eat any of my home made food : /  Luckily, I didn't make that much but still!

She also isn't a fan of being fed. Give her the finger food and she is a happy camper!

Although she can be a bit strong willed at times Daddy definitely has a soft spot for his little sweetie. 

As a 9 month old she is still working to figure out her crawling but she does get to where she needs!

And boy oh boy does she love her brother! 

The End of an Autumn

Wrapping up our Autumn. 

Although Henry is a total Daddy's boy

Mama has been getting some sweet attention lately. 

When Daddy is away we have to keep him in the loop of all the fun happening at home. 

H: Mom, take a picture of me with Daddy's cereal and send it to him. 

H: Let's show Daddy my turkey. 

(Henry has been a project master lately with plenty of artwork to hang up!)

H: Mom, take a picture of me in the cute hat. I think it fits just right.

H: Mom, take a picture of me lifting up this pumpkin. Aren't I strong, Mom?

Yes, my 3 year old. You are strong, happy, fun, lovable and overall an enjoyable toddler.  

But there are times when you just want to to your own thing 

 and like to think you are winning against your parents

and pushing the limits 

but in the end Mom & Dad always win : )

The last beautiful day on November 16th.

We went for a walk to the park for our last bit of warm fall fun. I couldn't believe how big Henry was getting and that he could possibly be old enough to climb up all by himself. But he did with absolutely no hesitation while I held my breath!
