Christmas on Main with Cousin Liam

One of my favorite things about Waverly is Christmas on Main. The store fronts are filled with people acting out favorite Christmas scenes. There is a live Nativity and plenty of Christmas music. Hot spots filled with Nestle hot chocolate and cookies on every block so you can stay warm even on the coldest of nights. And there is a horse drawn trolley you can ride to get from the Santa house to the ice sculpture. It is just super magical and fun to see the whole town of Waverly out enjoying this festive event! This year was even more special because Grandma Jane and Aunt Doe brought cousin Liam for his first over night so he could join in on the fun!

Grandma and Liam got quite a kick out of our Jingle book and bark!

These two were way to excited to eat much supper but we made it through...

First hot spot of the night!

And apparently that is all I took for pictures of this wonderful event (ugh). It is a bit hectic with kids and got cold fast for little Celie.  They did come home with some fun goodies and props!

And honestly the best part was yet to come -

A little game time in Henry's room and THEN

SLEEP OVER TIME! They told us Grandma Jane was in charge so... Grandma Jane went in once to encourage some sleeping. When that didn't quite work we ended up moving Henry to our room. Good effort boys but we'll try again next time!

Finished up our visit with some HyVee pancakes. Thanks so much for the visit!!

The rest of the day I spent with this sick girl. She did give me one quick smile but

this is pretty much how she rolled for most of the time.
