Wisconsin Weekend {part 3}

 

So why did we go to Wisconsin for the THIRD weekend in a row?!                   There were a lot of out-of-state family members in town and we just couldn’t miss the opportunity to spend some time together.

 

To start out a highlight of the trip was having my sister-in-law Elizabeth and my newest niece, Emma, visiting for the first time. 

 

Sweet little Emma was such a doll especially with having to put up with her crazy aunts fighting over her constantly!

 

Weird… she seems so much happier in my arms ; )

 

There was always a lot of competition over who got to hold her and of course Grandpa and Grandma seemed to win out most of the time!

          

 

Alright, to go back to the beginning… the weekend started off with a bit of a neighborhood reunion. I didn’t do the best with pictures but there are a few of the Curran cousins at least!

 

Of course, it wouldn’t be reunion on the Powers’ farm without a sawdust pile full of hidden coins : )

or sack races!

It was truly a beautiful day to be outside.

This guy turned 7 and thus got the much coveted permission to drive the “lawn mower”!

We REALLY have to get a post-it note on the table next time so we don’t forget to do this while everyone is around!

Lastly, I’ll end it with a little Henry love. Our little boy had no shortage of attention that’s for sure : )

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So blessed to be able to spend such quality time with so many wonderful people! Already looking forward to next year!! or Christmas ; )

9 Months Old

Our little boy is…. still kind of little : )

Weighing in at 15lb 6oz and measuring 26inches long

You may be on the small side for now but you have definitely found your BIG boy voice. This month you have started to get a little more demanding with your cries and unfortunately this is a face we have seen more often lately! (Don’t worry you were comforted quickly after. I just had to have some proof because you magically seems to make a liar out of me the minute your dad walks in!)

What else have you gotten really good at?

Playing with everything EXCEPT your toys!

               

You are definitely into explore mode lately.

 

 

And when you DO “play” with your toys it seems to be in a very unconventional way. Which is why I often see you like this : )

 

Our favorite though is by far your newest sleeping habit. We LOVE turning the monitor on once you have gone to bed to see your newest position.

This is how you have been sleeping since you were 3 months old.

What you need to work on? Absolutely nothing! You are as cute as can be and we are enjoying every moment : )

Wisconsin Weekend {part 2}

Weekend #2 was just the two of us making the trip home.

But it did turn out to be extra special because of all the high school friends that just happened to be home. Unfortunately, I did a horrible job of taking pictures of our get togethers…
